Developed formula for the surface area of a cylinder

History

Time to finish persuasive writing on Confederation Debate, and skit.  Writing was collected today. Skit will be performed tomorrow.

Winter Activity Day

Sign up was in the afternoon.  Make sure your child has signed up for an activity.

Thursday, January 19th

Math- We did a math challenge that was handed in about the area of circles.

Laguage- We did a survey about values in our peers and community.

History- On Monday January 23 the persuasive writing is due. On Tuesday January 24 the skit is due.

This morning all the grade 8s attended an assembley to talk about a trip to the Ecology Centre that will be in June. Information letters went home today.

Wednesday, January 18th

Math - Practice Area of a Circle.  Extra Practice Sheet  #1,2,4,5

History - Confederation Debate.  Persuasive writing task due Jan 23rd.  Skits start on Jan 24th.

Language - Meanings and survey on values.

This afternoon we went to East York for a tour.
